What is Robotics? Difference between Robots and Robotics? Their types and Use

Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of computer science and engineering. Robotics involves the design, construction, operation, and use of Robots.
So what are the robots?
A robot is a programmable machine that can complete a task. Each robot has a different level of autonomy. These levels range from teleoperated bots that carry out tasks to fully-autonomous bots that perform tasks without any external influences.

Input Device
Controlling Device
Output device
Input Devices:- An input device is a piece of equipment used to provide data signals to a Controller. Example keyboard, switches, Mouse, and Sensors.
Controlling Device:- A Unit that processes all the input data and provides the output. Example Microcontrollers and Microprocessors.
Output Unit:- A Unit that provides us data in Readable( showing values on Display) or action(Running a motor) form for accomplishing a task.
So now we know Robots and Robotics, so let's know what types of Robots are there in the world right now.
----Different Types of robots ---
There are different-different ways of classifying robots, we will just mention which are currently more relevant to our market needs. Mobile robot
Humanoid Robots
Industrial robots (manipulating)
Collaborative robots
Educational (interactive) robots
Mobile Robot :- Robot that has the capability to navigate around in their environment and is not fixed to one physical location. These robots are further categorized into two categories mainly Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). AMRs are robots that take the decision on their own for reaching their destination and AGVs are those robots which follow Magnetic or other predefined tracks for their movement.

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
Humanoid Robots :- The Robots that look or behave like human beings known as humanoid robots. In general, humanoid robots have a torso, a head, two arms, and two legs, though some humanoid robots may replicate only part of the body.

Industrial robots :- Industrial robots usually consist of a jointed arm (multi-linked manipulator) and an end effector that is attached to a fixed surface. One of the most common types of end effectors is a gripper assembly.

Collaborative robots :- A collaborative robot or cobot is a robot that can safely and effectively interact with human workers while performing simple industrial tasks. However, end-effectors and other environmental conditions may create hazards, and as such risk assessments should be done before using any industrial motion-control application

Educational (interactive) robots :- Robots are used as educational assistants to teachers. From the 1980s, robots such as turtles were used in schools and programmed using the Logo language.

So what are the uses of this robot in our daily life? Robots have lots of uses behind the things that we are using every day. From our inbuilt parts of life like Mobiles, Computers, and cars everything is manufactured using robots. You can Check other Industries which use robots here
